Our story
Bayside Soapworks was founded in 2016 to provide high-quality, handmade bath and body products to customers who value natural and paraben-free ingredients.
Our product line includes a variety of handmade soap, crafted lotions, sugar scrubs, candles, and soy melts, all made with the finest natural ingredients. We believe that everyone deserves to treat themselves to the luxurious experience of using high-quality bath and body products.
As members of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in our industry. Our products are carefully crafted in small batches to ensure quality, and our ingredients are sourced from trusted suppliers that are all "cruelty-free" and do not test on animals. We are proud of the products we make and stand behind them 100%.
In 2022, we introduced a new brand, "Lazy Dog Candle", which now encompasses all of our home fragrance products. People have asked, "Where did the name come from?" Our dog, Toshi, an adorable Boxer, if I do say so, was lying around one day while I was working on labels for some products. I remember looking at him and saying, "You lazy dog". Being a company that supports animal causes and only cruelty-free sourcing, it seemed fitting to use both Toshi's face and his lazy trait. So, Lazy Dog Candle™ was born...in the family room.
At Bayside Soapworks, our mission is simple: to provide our customers with high-quality bath and body products that will leave them feeling pampered and refreshed, and amazing home fragrances. We are dedicated to making the world a more beautiful and fragrant place, either with a bar of soap, or a luxury candle or room spray.
The people behind the company:
Two people keep things going. I am the mad scientist who creates and concocts new recipes for soap, lotion, scrubs, and more. I am a Registered Nurse and have been in nursing for over 30 years. I specialize in wound care, so I have a good idea of what is good for the skin. I test everything on the humans in the house. I even test the pet products first, before using them on the pooches.
The other half of this team greatly helps with picking and identifying fragrances, packing and preparing orders, and helping out with wicking candle vessels (not my favorite pastime). If you have any questions for us, please let us know!
